Idead for updating wood panneling aboutdating ru

Whether in the kitchen, bathroom, or living room, there's pretty much no space in the home that rustic decor doesn't look good.

Really, who wouldn't be charmed by wood beam ceilings, weathered antiques, and cozy natural textures?

Gorgeous bedroom with pink floral drapes alongside beadboard paneled wainscoting on bottom half wall paired with pale pink upper walls over a brown polka dot headboard layered in pink scalloped bedding with pink floral pillows and green accent pillow flanked by a contemporary white single drawer nightstand topped with a bottle green glass table lamp.

But unless you are using the room as an indoor soccer field, the paint should adhere. You need to make sure that the paneling is free of dirt and oil. I prefer satin finish for durability, and it can be washed easily. The grooves will remain unless you fill them all in.

then give it a good coat of KILZ and that must dry thoroughly then 2 coats of anycolor Latex.

I just had my family room done this way and I love it = it looks like wainscoating now. I painted paneling in my kitchen, bathroom and living room, if it is a dark paneling I suggest you put some type of a sealer on the groves as mine bled thru and had to have 5 coats before it covered.

Paint as you did the primer, cutting in the edges with a brush, and then rolling on the paint. Fill all of the grooves with spackling compound or dry wall compound. You can choose to not sand the spackle, adding texture to the wall.

Here's a little painting technique trick: after you roll a small section, use a wide paint brush (4 inch) and go over the section from ceiling to floor in long strokes.
