The second conference was held on June 10 and 11, 2015 at the School of Nursing, Signe Skott Cooper Hall, UW-Madison. Elaine Wendt and the project liaisons planned a wide variety of sessions, opening with a keynote by American Association of Colleges of Nursing President-Elect, Juliann Sebastian, Ph D, RN, FAAN.

This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase one of newest nursing school buildings in the nation, and the fifty-nine (59) conference participants were excited to be in the space. Several sessions highlighted best practices in simulation and active learning. Lead conference was held on the UW-Milwaukee campus June 9 and 10, 2016 at the College of Nursing.

Another contribution to the seminar’s success is financial support from the WBA in helping to pay for hotel rooms for students who traveled from distant areas around the state. Topics included: Radio and TV News Reporting, Broadcast Sales and Marketing, Social Media’s Role in the Newsroom, Campus Radio and TV Stations, How Do I Get My First Job, Student Storytellers Website, Promotion at a Radio Station, Producing Industrial Videos and Commercials, and Engineering.

Several students toured the remote truck from WHA-TV, Madison, as part of the engineering session.
